Within Vanguard, the Global Technology Audit Services (GTAS) team is seen as a critical line of defense for the organization. The team also promotes a flexible and well–balanced work atmosphere.This role will be responsible for leading assurance and advisory engagements across a variety of IT platforms and functions. The team is responsible for evaluating IT's internal controls and influencing senior levels of management to take action to improve the control environment.In this role you will: Project manage the engagement team for assurance engagements involving platforms (AWS Cloud, etc.) and critical software assets across the IT division, as well as advisory engagements consulting on critical technology initiatives (Continuous Delivery, API Gateway, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, etc.). Assess the adequacy of the control environment, identify control gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement based on relevant knowledge and experience. Ensure delivery of the highest quality reports and value–add recommendations and insights. Leverage audit team's skill set and experience to drive collaboration and ensure work is completed accurately and timely. Communicate expectations to team and provide meaningful feedback to help develop team members by identifying and communicating areas for improvement in a timely manner. Influence senior management to act on recommendations to strengthen the control environment and make process improvements. Establish and maintain relationships with IT management across aligned division and risk partners (including legal, compliance, information security, fraud). Stay current on industry trends and technology related to Cloud, Networking, and Security. What it takes: Minimum of five years related work experience. Audit, risk, or controls experience preferred. Undergraduate degree in an IT related field of concentration (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS) or equivalent combination of experience and training. 2 to 4 years of previous project management experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem–solving skills. Ability to lead and motivate others. Demonstrated ability to function in an ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities. An interest in sharing ideas and working in a diverse environment. Excellent time management, project management, and strong relationship management skills. Even better if you have: 3 to 5 or more years of experience in Cloud technologies (AWS, Lamda, O365 Continuous Delivery Pipelines, CloudFormation, etc.). 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle preferred. Professional certification or advanced degree (e.g. AWS, Agile Scrum/SAFe, MBA, CISM, CIA, ITIL, CISA) is a plus. Experience in networking, infrastructure, or cybersecurity a plus Experience with agile project management and/or agile application development is a plus. Working knowledge of and/or a demonstrated interest in the financial services industry. Understanding of industry frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and NIST.
