A constantly changing and increasingly significant field, the Transfer Pricing team helps clients establish, implement, document and defend market based pricing for transactions between enterprises under common ownership or control, across a broad spectrum of industries. This is an area intensely scrutinised by tax authorities, governments and the media worldwide due to public concerns on large companies shifting profits abroad and seeking to avoid paying tax. The practice has a diverse mix of tax professionals, accountants and economists with backgrounds from industry, practice and tax authorities.Service Line GroupTransfer Pricing Job DescriptionThe TeamKPMG's transfer pricing practice is a highly dynamic and successful area within our tax business. A constantly changing and increasingly significant field, the transfer pricing team helps clients establish, document and defend market based pricing terms in relation to transactions between parts of multinational businesses.We are a national team of over 150 transfer pricing specialists including 8 Partners mostly based in London and key UK cities. There is a good mix of tax professionals, accountants and economists with backgrounds from industry, practice and HMRC. This variety of backgrounds will give you the opportunity to work with people who are experts in their field, and help you to build a diverse skillset.Our Financial Services Transfer Pricing (FS TP) practice is a strategic and fast growing part of the UK transfer pricing practice and serves a broad range of key players across the banking, asset management and insurance industries. You will join a team of 25 individuals from various backgrounds, working towards ambitious strategic goals.The ResponsibilitiesThis role involves working on a range of transfer pricing advisory and compliance projects for FS clients. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing various projects, ensuring the coordination and effective collaboration with other departments across the UK firm as well as our overseas offices. You will also take an active part in business development activities in support of our ambitious growth targets. Our areas of focus to continue to grow our business include challenging and interesting transfer pricing issues such as operational transformation, technology enablement, dispute resolution or effective global documentation.

The work involves:Providing technical transfer pricing advice to our FS clients on a broad range of topicsManaging various projects across multiple jurisdictions and leading the day-to-day delivery processes, including managing the project teamsActing as the main point of contact for clients and other relevant stakeholdersActively contributing to developing and maintaining the client relationshipsFinancial management, including developing and managing project budgets and billing to ensure profitable delivery of engagementsCoaching and developing junior team members, which will also include delivering training sessions and providing on-the-job coaching on regular basisEnsuring timely reporting to senior managementActively contributing to identifying new opportunities and managing business development and marketing initiatives along with proposition and market leadsParticipating in team-related or firm-wide activities as appropriate to preserve and enforce our KPMG valuesThe PersonWe are looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:Relevant transfer pricing experience, preferably including project management and managing junior team membersExperience of the Financial Services industry is appreciatedHighly organised with excellent project management and communication skillsAbility to work autonomously and to take initiatives as appropriateVery strong people skills for engaging positively with clients and team membersSound judgement, including the ability to identify and evaluate risk issues and know when to involve othersStrong analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing adviceStrong commercial awarenessHigh level of drive and enthusiasm with a positive attitudeKeen ability and willingness to keep up to date technicallyAn appreciation of and/or understanding of ethical/risk issues within a client service environmentCTA, CA, ACA, ACCA, Masters in Economics or equivalently qualifiedIntelligent WorkingOur employees have many varied work schedules to suit their individual needs!Our intelligent working options range from role sharing and flexible start and finish times, to home working and more informal arrangements agreed within teams.Check out examples of KPMG employees enjoying different working patterns on our website and please do share your own individual requirements with us.Applying with a disabilityAs a member of the Business Disability Forum we're committed to ensuring a great experience for colleagues with a disability.
