GL Accountant [ Certified Accountant ]

My client is looking to on board a GL Accountant to take charge in handling and prepare full sets of accounts while ensuring that accounting entries are posted in an accurate and timely matter.

Description

This role essentially focuses on the following key areas and is not limited to:

• Take charge in handling and prepare full sets of accounts, ensure that accounting entries are posted in an accurate and timely matter.
• Ensure variances in reconciliations are minimized.
• Month end and year end closing, raise JE, ensure accurate and complete reconciliations.
• Perform analysis in relation to profit & losses, balance sheet movements and cash flows.
• Make continuous improvement on reporting process with the group globally.
• Lead and communicate with finance team and ensure timely submission of financial information.
• Assist in data migration activities.
• Assist in ad-hoc reporting when required.

Profile

The ideal individual will possess strong interpersonal skills and must have the following criteria:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CA/CPA/MIA etc) is a MUST.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with external audit background is highly encouraged to apply.
• Experience using ERP system is an added advantage.
• Independent and growth mindset
• Strong communication ability, able to communicate well with regional stakeholders.
