Client Details
This Property and Housing company based in Letchworth Garden City are looking for a progressive Finance Assistant to come in and support the Finance Business Partner with month end procedures, reporting and analysis. They have been growing for the last few years and have many internal opportunities to support individual growth and progression from this initial temporary assignment.
Description
The role will involve lots of supporting on commercial thinking analysis and management accounting work and preparing the accounts ahead of accounts production to include reconciliations and postings. The individual would not be getting involved in the transactional side of finance but more so with the business partnering on projects and analysis on the month end procedures. The candidate will be involved with month end procedures such as accruals and prepayments, bank reconciliations, supporting period end processes and posting financial transactions and more.
Profile
The successful finance assistant will have:
- A degree in a finance or highly mathematical subject - ideally a 2:1 or higher
- An aim to studying ACCA/CIMA
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- A good understanding of Excel functions - VLookups and Pivot Tables
- A proactive approach to work and the ability to solve problems
