We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
- Responsible for coordination and managing the firm's external inspections in conjunction with the Head of RCPS; working alongside engagement teams and the firm's functions to support the development of high quality responses to regulatory concerns on both individual inspections and the firms procedures and controls. Develop quality action plans, learning from quality matters by identifying and determining responsive actions through root cause analysis.
- Coordinate the firm's ISQM 1 implementation programme and once implemented, support and monitor the programmes operation
- Coordinate and moderate the internal quality monitoring programme across all business units, performing root cause analysis on quality issues and developing responsive actions.
- Close collaboration with the wider RCPS team on strategic and operational initiatives to protect the reputation of the firm by timely and robust risk management process implementation and monitoring
- Monitoring and where relevant influencing developments through professional bodies (such as CAI committees) and with the wider Grant Thornton network.
- Overseeing the annual returns to regulatory bodies the firm is required to register with (IAASA, CARB, PCAOB)
- Support and facilitate training and quality information briefings/forums to staff, management and partners
- Assisting the Head of RCPS with regular reporting to the Management Committee
- Working closely with our international colleagues in the areas of quality, risk and methodology
- Continuous development of industry and audit technical knowledge and awareness of relevant changes within the industry ensuring the wider team is alerted on a timely basis to matters concerning risk management or regulation.
- ACA or similar qualification required
- A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience with at least 2 years at a management level in a quality, risk and compliance, internal audit or senior audit management role in a reputable firm
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Experience in a big four audit firm will be an advantage
- Strong audit technical knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with the Irish regulated professional services market preferred and knowledge of the quality and risk management processes in audit firms

- strong communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills; and
- excellent team player
