The opportunity:

We are currently looking for a candidate to play an important role in the Global Internal Audit (GIA) Data Analytics competency development under the direction of GIA leadership, and support the GIA Report Manager role as well as other Quality Enablement workstreams.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Working with GIA leadership or the delegated project manager to build up a GIA-internal data analytics competency to advance GIA's methodology and capabilities to analyze data (e.g., readiness to in-shore DA support from Mauritius and consistent application of DA in GIA audits)
  • Supporting the management of processes and knowledge bases related to contact with GIA stakeholders (e.g., Stakeholder Masterfile, RFI monitoring, GIA Reports)
  • Supporting to manage oversight of tools-related processes/projects
  • Supporting key QE workstreams to manage risks and help further develop processes (i.e., support for EY/GIA badge progress, back-up for GIA Finance and GIA Presentations/Reporting)

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Familiarity and ability to work with Data Analytics tools (not only Excel)
  • Preferably an IT background and a good knowledge of the EY Global platforms
  • Ability to learn quickly: understand risk management concepts, GIA methodology
  • Experience working in an international and virtual environment
  • Understanding for and experience with complex processes to trouble-shoot and manage additional tasks related to operations and quality management
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Client-serving mind-set and confidence in his/her own abilities
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, anticipate/identify risks and manage them before they become problems
  • Capability to understand and be able to solve problems independently with effective results
  • Preferably has knowledge of Independence and/or Anti-Bribery and Corruption risks and controls
