How will I help?
The role is within Group Treasury, the heart of the Bank, where you will get exposure to senior stakeholders through the Group Asset & Liability Committees, Divisional Pricing Committees, Debt Investors, Rating Agencies & the Regulator. The Balance Sheet Management team sits within Group Treasury, identifying and executing opportunities to drive forward the strategy of the Group. Balance Sheet Management (BSM) has responsibility for the management & oversight of the Group's balance sheet.

The Balance Sheet Management team sits within Group Treasury, identifying and executing opportunities to drive forward the strategy of the Group. Balance Sheet Management (BSM) has responsibility for the management & oversight of the Group's balance sheet.
Responsibiltiies
- Identification and execution of capital optimisation & accuracy initiatives across the Group
- Support of the Capital Management framework in terms of execution & framework development
- Input into allocation of capital across the Group to drive returns
- Production of analytics and insights into divisional and segment level returns to drive efficient Group outcomes
- Management of balance sheet trade-offs and efficiencies to optimise balance sheet performance & strength
- Development of balance sheet management-related analytics to support senior management in Group balance sheet and funding/liquidity/capital-related activities
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of capital management best practice and techniques, with exposure to APRA prudential standards advantageous
- Minimum 6+ years in a similar role
- General knowledge of the Treasury environment, particularly funding, liquidity, and regulatory environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn/grasp complex matters quickly and translate for targeted audiences
- Effective negation and dispute resolution skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both peers and senior management
