Role overview
We are looking for a collaborative group accountant to join our head office team to assist and support the group finance team.
You will be full time based in Bermondsey, London. You will report to the Group Financial Controller. Other team members will be the agency finance teams, agency senior management, the deputy CFO and the Group CFO.

As a Group Accountant at Next15 you will:
Technical accounting matters
- Perform the accounting for technical group matters including but not limited to, acquisition accounting, equity schemes under IFRS 2 and contingent consideration liabilities
- Perform the Group consolidation and supporting accounting entries
- Remain up-to-date with new accounting standards and brief the brand finance managers on any upcoming changes
- Oversee the implementation of any accounting changes across the Group and support the agency finance teams in adopting these
- Be a first point of contact for the brand finance teams for any accounting queries they may have
Other Group matters
- Support the agency finance teams with group reporting requirements and the use of the Group consolidation system
- Help promote best practice across the Group in areas such as working capital
- Help integrate new acquisitions in the Group by helping with training and supporting the finance and management team of the new acquisition
- Prepare first draft of calculations for pay-outs on contingent consideration and equity schemes
- Involvement in several other Group projects, including but not limited to, financial and commercial due diligence of potential acquisitions
- Interaction and working with the Internal Audit team to help promote best practice across our Group finance teams
- Involvement in Group banking including review of Group covenant reporting, ensuring we remain within the terms of our RCF and preparation of analysis needed by our bank as requested from time to time
Forecasting
- Maintain the Group long-term cash-flow forecast
- Continue to monitor performance against forecast for different Group items such as the expected pay-outs on equity schemes, share scheme charges, contingent consideration payments
Group external reporting
- Support in preparing the Group Annual Report including preparation of the consolidated Group notes and other disclosures
- Prepare statutory accounts for the UK agencies
- Manage the relationship with the external auditor throughout the year and project management of their interaction with the Group and the agencies
As a Finance Manager at Next15 you will bring:
- Recent ACA qualified from an audit practice with good knowledge of Group accounting matters, such as consolidations, acquisition accounting and IFRS 2
- Excel skills (can perform complex functions) and ability to build financial models
