Based in the heart of London, you will join a dynamic and international finance team. This Accounts Assistant role role will:
- Manage Account Receivables and Account Payables ensuring on-time cash collection and payments to customers, business partners and HMRC.
- Validate invoices and supporting documents submitted by customers and others to Roust UK.
- Post payment transactions in bank account
Client Details
My client is a market leading FMCG company, specialising in the production of alcoholic drinks. They are based in London and also have offices across the world. This exciting role has become available due to the rapid growth which they have experienced over the last few years.
Description
Key responsibilities for this Accounts Assistant role include:
- Manage and drive Account Receivables collection in cooperation with customers and internal sales team following to company's credit control processes
- Conduct regular credit review and AR/AP aging, and take appropriate actions at the correct time when debts become overdue
- Raise and allocate sales invoices
- Reconcile AR/APs with customers
- Reconcile bank statement, ensure payments received are posted correctly
- Validate invoices for marketing and other activities, review supporting documents and agreed terms (prices/costs correctness, period allocation, duplicates, EPOS, accruals), prepare invoices for payment
- Assist with preparation VAT returns
- Prepare cash flow reports to help with cash flow planning
- Liaise internally with other departments to manage difficulties with collections and resolve disputes
- Collaborate with commercial finance and accounting to verify budgets and accruals
- Support the delivery of internal and external audits requirements
- Maintain good relationships with external customers and resolve B2B enquires
- Develop and manage dashboard for own metrics
Profile
Requirements for this Accounts Assistant role:
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of main Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook), ERP system and preferred experience in SAP
- Excellent and proven customer service attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter, energetic and determined
- Confident, adaptable, detail oriented with strong time management skills
Experience / Qualifications
- 3+ years experience managing AR and AP in a FMCG organisation
- Great attention to details and solid experience in analysing documents
- Experience in Credit Control - with some exposure to general Finance
