NEW Group Financial Accountant role based in Auckland CBD

Your new role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be expected to lead group reporting, oversee the month-end process, create monthly management reports and responsible for internal compliance control. The Group Financial Accountant will be expected to act as a business partner with the Sales and Marketing team, including supporting decision making, developing budgets and helping to analyse a monthly forecast. Furthermore, you will focus on financial reporting and ensure regulatory obligations are accurately satisfied and submitted within set deadlines. Also, you will manage one team member at the moment to ensure they are engaged and committed to achieving goals and performing at their full potential.


What you'll need to succeed
An audit background, ideally within the Big 4 is highly desirable alongside 3-5+ years' commercial finance experience within a complex organisation either NZ based or overseas. You will be degree qualified in a finance related discipline and ideally be a fully qualified CA/CPA or equivalent member. Also, you will have sufficient group accounting experience and the ability to manage a full internal audit process and prepare all necessary reports.

Joining this newly merged team, you initially have the opportunity to prove yourself and this role is likely to lead into a Finance Manager position with the right attitude and leadership skills. You will perform a central role, getting involved with various projects internally and prove yourself as a finance business partner to all departments, Sales and Marketing in particular. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a negotiable base salary up to $120,000 with car parking onsite and the flexibility to work from home.
