Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

The candidate is expected to:-

Prepare accurate monthly management reports and cash flows, statutory financial statements and budgets in compliance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards in a timely manner to support business decision making and reporting datelines
Ensure that all tax matters have been complied with in accordance with relevant tax laws, public rulings, guidance and regulations
Collaborate on matters relating to banking facilities to support banking application(s) made and to ensure compliance with all covenants and undertakings imposed for banking facilities granted
Strengthen the system of internal controls and making appropriate recommendations to improve on existing business and operational processes, policies and procedures
Implement and adopt best practices and good corporate governance including sound risk management policies in regulating the affairs of the company and in safeguarding of assets, funds and records.
Coach, counsel, train, develop and manage the career development of subordinates leading to succession planning and career fulfilment.
Manage the expectations of various stakeholders including pro-actively engaging with them on operational issues, providing the required advice and support.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting and/or a professional accounting qualification (MICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), preferably with working experience in the Construction Industry and hands on experience in SAP
Up to date knowledge in MFRS/ tax regulations
5-8 years working experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial position
Experience in leading a finance and accounting team
This position will report to the Head of Finance
