Summary

Facebook is seeking an International Tax Director, Compliance to join its EMEA tax team focusing on operational excellence for direct tax compliance and reporting. This position will be part of the International Tax Team that handles Facebook's global corporate income tax issues. The successful candidate will have experience with a wide range of international tax issues, ideally including experience with a U.S. based multinational company and people leadership. The successful candidate will provide strategic vision for operating effectively and efficiently with strong controls and utilizing technology. The successful candidate must have the ability to operate independently in a fast paced environment and work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across our organization. The position will be based in Dublin.

Required Skills

  • Lead the team managing corporate income tax compliance and reporting requirements for the EMEA region by working with the tax team, finance team and external advisors. This includes tax returns, tax payment calculations, tax forecasts, deferred tax calculations and local subsidiary statutory reporting.
  • Assisting with the tax provision process for the EMEA aspects of Facebook's global U.S. GAAP reporting.
  • Manage controls and processes for international direct tax compliance.
  • Improving tax processes and controls, eliminating manual work and improving efficiencies within international direct tax compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and technology with the team's cross functional work.
  • Develop a stakeholder group and network so that direct tax is appropriately engaged in the group's IT agenda.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional groups within Facebook to support business expansion and operations in EMEA.


Minimum Qualification

  • University degree, with advanced degree or professional qualification in tax or law preferred.
  • At least 15 years of relevant tax experience including experience leading international tax compliance in a multi-national business.
  • Strong international tax knowledge and familiarity of tax issues for a multinational company including international tax compliance and reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on, independent, able to multi-task and prioritise.
