The Opportunity
In this vital position, you will be part of the Research and Revenue Accounting Services Finance Business Partnering team delivering proactive accounting advisory and support services to clients and stakeholders in a business partnering model.
The role will contribute to the R&R accounting expertise for complex financial transactions, resolve challenging accounting issues and provide regular project fund reporting and forecasting, oversee and prepare budgets and associated financial reporting for research grants and contracts, as well as provide research and commercial contract advice and project costing support services. The Finance Business Partner will have a strong focus on maintaining relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and clients and provide authoritative advice and decision-making support in relation to R&R accounting.
Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner, this role will also supervise up to 3 Management Accountants and R&R Accounting Officers.
If you are the successful candidate you will be responsible for managing budget, forecasting and reporting responsibilities that will assist in research grants and contracts. You will be managing the development of funding proposals across complex budgets.
You will have the opportunity to provide leadership and development within your team while delivering R&R accounting services to the University.
To be the suitable applicant you will have a degree qualification in finance/related discipline, preferable with CA or CPA accreditation and extensive relevant experience. This will also include a wide exposure in providing finance related advise and expertise around the preparation and monitoring of multiple budgets.
