Senior Finance Manager / Finance Manager - Central Trading Finance
In a nutshell
- Responsible for working with the relevant finance manager and senior finance manager to business partner the Operational/Commercial stakeholders on on volume related costs such as Centrals.
- Driving performance within this business area through performance intervensions and decisions support with direction and support from the relevant finance manager and Senior Finance Manager.
- Influencing decisions to drive performance and efficiency across the commercial environment.
- Deliver timely day-to-day forecasting, analysis and performance commentary.
What you need to do
- Act on financial information to provide insight to help review and maximise actual performance for Commercial Central Costs.
- Track and understand the financial impact of action plans and projects to help drive these through to completion - with a specific focus on Centrals
- Business partner and be the primary point of contact for the commercial teams for Central costs acting on decisions to close gaps in actual financial performance vs. target collaborating with the relevant teams
- Deliver timley and accurate day to day reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities with guidance, including:
- Analtical support and reporting commentary to the commercial teams to help make sound business decisions and maximise business performance
- Provision of regular insight into the drivers of performance
- Perform ad hoc analysis to help assess the success of trading initiatives and activities.
- Work closely with the other Trading Finance Managers and Analysts to support category specific initiatives/actions to improve the performance of the overall commercial function.
- Attend and actively contribute to key meetings as required
- Responsible for managing relationships with relevant stakeholders
What you need to know and show
- Qualitifed accountant (or studying towards an accounting qualification)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand key business performance drivers
- Ability to present compex information in a simple and clear manner
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong inter-personal skills and an empathetic nature
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Entusiastic, positive and proactive engagement of key stakeholders
- Resilience, flexibility and able to cope with time pressure and ambiguity.
- Experience in business facing finance role.
