Tax Consultant

Exciting opportunities to join Rabin & Associates as Junior or Senior Auditor.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit to Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (“MIRB”) individual and corporate tax computations, indirect tax computations.
• Advise clients on direct and indirect tax payable amounts to the MIRB.
• Handle any queries from MIRB pertaining to tax compliance works and obtain information and details as may be required from the client to answer the same.
• Advise clients on the tax deductibility or taxability of non-straightforward items.
• Assist in preparing provisional tax computation(s) based on forecast results for the relevant financial years provided by the client for the purposes of computing the estimated tax payable for current and subsequent year(s).
• Assist with the recovery of direct and indirect tax excess amounts from the MIRB.
• Assist with backlog direct and indirect tax submissions including but not limited to preparing tax computations, capital allowance schedules and completing tax return forms.
• Assist with desk/field tax audits and investigations.
• Advise clients on the tax impact of various business structures which will optimise their tax benefits.
• Advise clients on transfer pricing issues and the optimal agreement between group companies to ensure transactions are at arm’s length transaction whilst also maximising their tax benefits.
• Advise clients on structuring salary packages that are the most tax beneficial for their employees and their families.
• Assist with tax incentive applications with various governing bodies e.g. MalaysianInvestment Development Authority, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation etc.

Requirements:

• Min 3 years experience
• Proven good leadership and people skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Possess excellent communication, report writing and computer skills
• Be proactive, resourceful, innovative and have an eye for details
• Be a team player who is also able to work well independently and under a fast-paced,
• deadline-driven environment
