Senior Business Analyst

Department and Business Overview:

The Equities Risk technology team globally supports the Equities risk management system (EQRMS), providing business stakeholders with capabilities to manage intra-day and overnight risk and PNL of positions, risk valuation and computation as well as downstream risk and regulatory reporting.

The Senior Business Analyst will join the Global Equities Risk Business Analysts Team and assist in the execution of the global risk book of work with specific focus on Risk and Regulatory Reporting workstreams. In this capacity, the successful candidate will work closely with technology application teams on detailed data analysis, project progress tracking, as well as senior management status reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Traders, Quants, Risk technology, Risk Managers and Controllers to define accurate and complete business requirements and system functional specifications for development teams.
• Project management and oversight of the deliverables across the book of work
• Contribute in managing and participating in SIT/UAT testing cycles, constantly communicate with Technology and Senior Business Stakeholders.
• Provide clear, concise and accurate communications at all stages of a project.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
• Liaise between Development Teams to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way

Knowledge/Experience:

• Extensive Experience of working in the field of Equities/Risk Technology in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst capacity
• Knowledge of Derivative products, preferably Equities
• Knowledge in Equity Risk
• Familiar with recent regulations in financial industry
• Experience in Project management with diverse methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
• Experience working with globally distributed development teams
• Ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
• Experience using application lifecycle tools such as JIRA

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
