Job title: Risk Management /Business and operational controls
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with middle office teams in driving agenda pertaining to below functions embedded within Alpha Portfolio Services & Middle Office transformation team
RISK MANAGEMENT Independently drive and manage risk management activities across businessPerform Control Testing and identify control gaps. Work with business to mitigate risk or control deficienciesReview operational incidents and ensure timely escalation of such incidents on group risk systemParticipate in pre-audit reviews to ensure audit preparedness and identification of self-identified issuesLiaise with India & Global Business Controls team to implement Organizational Business Controls objectives
GENERAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT Responsible for the progress of functional risk elimination projects as well as timely deliverable of project objectivesTrack project progress against agreed objectives / timelines; Identify roadblocks proactively and address them to avoid disruption to project milestones / deliverablesResponsible for the coordination and communication of the projects undertakenWork with Business/Operations to solution BAU issues and contribute towards process excellenceLearn, understand, and document business requirements
REQUIREMENTS Strong relationship building and communications skills with ability to present ideas and concepts coherently to senior stakeholdersGo Getter / Quick Learner with an attitude to venture into unknown territories and create learning path for the teamAbility to navigate an ambiguous environment and find opportunities to resolve IssuesStrong inclination to keep him/herself abreast with Industry & Market updates in relevant businessLeadership and collaborative interpersonal skills to engage and motivate team membersExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work with schedules / resources while remaining focused on team goalsProactive approach to handling issues, risks, dependencies and escalationsProven ability to be proactive, suggest new ideas and to drive tasks to completionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting; MBA in Finance / Risk Management from Tier 1 / II Institutes;8 - 12 years of prior experience in Capital Markets / First or Second Line of Defense / Risk Management / Operational Controls / Business ControlsFlexible to interview candidates from both locations i.e. Bangalore & Hyderabad
