A leading UK, Luxury retail company currently requires a Finance Analyst to join them on a permanent basis in their Westminster office. As a trusted finance partner, you will use your finance expertise, connecting seamlessly with your Business and Finance colleagues, to provide commercial finance support, influencing decisions or strategy to deliver bottom-line benefits. A commercial finance role incorporating forecasting and budgeting and business partner support in the Cost of Sales and in particular in the Raw materials excess area. This role would be supporting both the RTW and Accessories/Shoes categories as needed by providing robust financial analysis to drive performance and to enable business decision-making with cost and margin focus.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In support of all categories, you will have responsibility to manage the data and reporting for the cost saving programmes with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide financial and commercial support to both the RTW and Accessories /Shoes Business Unit teams and Supply Chain Leads. Develop strong and trusted partnerships and with a commercial mind-set, provide analysis, challenge and insight on commercial finance matters and strategies
  • Specifically to the RMX (Raw material Excess) area, ensure that the accounting and reporting of RMX is continued to be managed in a robust manner once it is transitioned over to BBS. As a finance business partner continue to oversee the RMX finance business calendar and key reporting deadlines and support the relevant business partners to adhere to these.
  • Continue to work with Business partners in the Business units and Supply Chain to drive improved ways of working and utilisation of RMX
  • Support the RMX forecasting and budgeting process
  • Develop insightful reporting and analysis, specifically focusing on translating complex data into actionable insights. Develop scenario analysis on cost of goods strategies.
  • Support the product costing guidance for seasonal forecasts and budget.
  • Ensure sufficient financial rigour is applied on all key investment decisions and track initiatives and saving projects through Supply Chain to their final impact on Product Margin
  • Partner with business teams to deliver outstanding supplier/vendor relationships, through commodity market analysis, performance tracking, effective profitability and cost structure analysis and support for negotiation and business development as required
  • Support ad hoc projects targeting cost reductions, margin improvements or RMX reduction.
Requirements
  • Part qualified accountant ACA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong analytical background, good attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft suite including advanced Excel skills
  • Skilled ability to manage large data sets and build meaningful analysis
  • Ability to model complex data sets and present them in an insightful way
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self-prioritise and manage workload
  • Able to communicate financial and data insights to wider multi-level audience
  • Highly commercial mindset
  • Previous support to manufacturing and/or sourcing
  • Business partnering with non-finance individuals and teams
