Would you like to be a valued part of a busy team, supporting the finance role of a number of small charities on a day-to-day basis? We are looking for the right person with the right heart to join our team and make a difference to the charities we serve.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a good working knowledge of charities and the SORP in a practice environment. Initially a part-time role, but our vision is to develop the role - and the person - into a full-time position.
The role involves all levels of work from charity bookkeeping, payroll, gift-aid, management accounts, assisting with budget preparation and cashflow planning, independent examinations, accounts preparation, some (limited) corporation tax and personal tax work and - as you would expect in a small but thriving team - anything else that comes up! Most importantly, you would be taking the stress and pressure away from the client so they know that their numbers are just ‘sorted’.
In addition, you can arrange your work day around your life commitments (school, nursery, children, caring, other) and work at a time that suits you. How would it feel to be able to work from home but still be part of a close and supportive team environment? That’s what we all do here. We all lead busy lives as individuals but, together, we make it work.
Our ideal person will be excellent at self-management, with an extreme attention to detail, very competent in the use of Microsoft 365, and happy to help others as and when required – a true team player.
We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role, so candidates must already have the right to live and work in the UK.
