This roles sits within the Front Office working as part of the Global Spread Products Business Management team to support Financing & Securitization (GSP F&S). The primary function of this role is the support of the F&S activities including structuring, financing, and distribution. The role is responsible for driving business strategy set by desk heads, delivering business initiatives, and effective implementation of in business controls and governance frameworks. The role requires close liaison with various other business areas and functions (Finance, Compliance, Operations, Tech, etc) to ensure timely escalation and remediation of issues. This role involves supporting the wider business management teams located around the world with various projects and business initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a practical-minded, detail-orientated professional with experience working in high-pressured, time-sensitive environments and a proven ability to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities:
  • Governance & Supervision
    • Ensure a suitable governance, oversight, and control framework exists and is in line with firm policies & regulation
    • Appropriately assess & mitigate risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
    • Assist in internal audit reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviews
  • Financials & Reporting
    • Optimize business planning and performance by driving key initiatives (Expense base, RWA/capital utilization, Planning & Analysis)
    • Drive development of new business lines or enhanced product offerings including processes, booking models, and systems/infrastructure
    • Manage and improve business metrics and key performance indicators
  • Communication
    • Align front office teams and support groups (Finance, Technology, Operations, Legal, etc) to business priorities
    • Design and implementation of business processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy
    • Assist business in preparing internal and external presentations (QBRs, Governance meetings, Regulator Walkthroughs)
  • Business & team support
    • Working with Desks and Product Technology teams as required ensuring that Product, Regional, and JV projects are represented correctly and delivered in a timely manner
    • Support the wider Business Management team with goals & projects when required, to achieve business objectives. Projects may be related to control initiatives, expense reduction or process improvement


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience
  • Relevant work experience in financial services preferred
  • Experience with Citi or Global Spread Products businesses is a plus
  • Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Solutions oriented with a "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to understand larger processes but also able to drill into the details
  • Pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting and PowerPoint for presentation development
