Regional Accountant (Based in Johor)

The key responsibilities of this position will be related to the management of the general ledger and statutory accounting process for the APAC region. Hence, this role will required frequent travelling and gain regional exposure.

Our client is one of the well-known FMCG MNC. Their business mainly is in Europe countries in the past. Recent years, they have build a strong present in SEA countries and even set up their regional hub. Hence, they are currently looking for talent that would like to join them and expand the business together.

Description

• This role will be managing team for the APAC region to improve processes in order to create optimal accounting and reconciliation practices for the company
• Leads the costing and accounting activity for the APAC region
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all APAC subsidiaries- period-end closes, financial reporting, and consolidation with corporate books and records.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP and other local GAAP accounting rules
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures and processes and ensure that proper controls are in place
• Ensure management has advance visibility of any material accounting, reporting or internal control issues
• Monthly review and business analysis of accounts
• Help drive process improvement initiatives by applying strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
