To support our ongoing growth, our goal is to create a world class Group Finance Function, operating as a centre of excellence for all our brands.
What are we looking for?
We've really set the benchmark high with our people and our brilliant Finance Team is no exception! We're looking for even more of the very best people to complete our world class team. We want to hear from the most highly skilled and qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) people, who ideally offer around 2 years + PQE experience in industry.

Finance Managers
Mid- senior level Finance candidates
You must be able to communicate confidently and effectively as you will be working with people from across our business, including our dynamic, 'hands on' Group CEO.
You will be an excel expert and offer unrivaled numerical and analytical skills. As a proficient and experienced finance person who isn't afraid of a challenge, you'll enjoy our changing environment as we continue to grow at an impressive pace!
And you won't be afraid to get stuck in. Your job will be varied. You may be posting journals or delivering monthly accounts one day or working on an exciting integration project the next. The important thing is that you will consistently deliver!
What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at The British Engineering Services Group and there are always lots of projects to get involved with. Some of the day-to-day aspects of the role include:
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Performance reporting for board packs
Supporting our management group with insightful business analysis.
Ensuring accuracy of accounts with commentary and investigation where relevant.
Weekly utilisation and WIP reports and provide direction/support on ways forward.
Management of work in progress.
Ensuring sales are correctly recorded and carry forward positions monitored and challenged.
Maintenance and update of balance sheet reconciliations.
Supporting our leaders and management group with producing budgets and reforecasts.
Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Continuously look at ways to improve working across the function.
Driving commercial awareness across the British Engineering Services Group.
Identify risks and opportunities.

What experience do I need?
We are open to different levels of experience and backgrounds but to work for us you must have the right attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do. Keeping Britain Safe. As a minimum, you will need:
* A CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
* A refreshing approach to communication- we're honest, frank and fun and would like you to reflect that!
* You'll be working with everyone from our customer service team, to our CEO so you must be able to present you information clearly (especially under pressure)
* Unquestionable numeracy and analytical skills
* Advanced excel skills and financial modelling techniques
* Experience in the service sector (desirable)
* Microsoft Navision experience (desirable)
* Your experience might be as a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager or mid- senior level Finance Professional
