Telecoms Pricing Analyst

Pricing Analyst - Telecoms Our clients, a company in the telecommunications space, are looking for an individual with strong Financial analysis and some Financial Modelling experience to join their regulatory pricing team. Operating in a complex and dynamic environment, the successful candidate will work in multi-disciplinary teams responsible for all pricing and economic analysis aspects of the telecommunications markets. The Role: Project management of designated pricing projects. This will involve considerable interaction with consultancy firms used by the company where expert advice on economics and/or financial modelling is required; Undertake public consultation processes relating to costing and economic principles and methodologies to derive and set regulated wholesale prices and other related issues; Provide finance and/or economic related advice to various divisions in relation to market analysis and pricing related disputes, as well as assisting with queries from consumers, operators or other related public bodies; Monitor compliance with pricing directions and decisions; Research and apply pricing methodologies and principles for various regulated products e.g., local-loop unbundling, wholesale broadband access, leased lines, mobile termination etc. adopted by other regulatory authorities; Willingness to diversify their knowledge base to include at a high-level: economic; engineering; and legal matters as they arise in the day-to-day regulatory environment; and Other ad hoc requirements as required. The Person : Qualified individuals preferable in finance or economics, or other equivalent professional qualification, with strong analytical skills and substantial experience in industry or private practice; Significant experience in leading project-based assignments, including working in a multi-disciplinary team environment; Financial Modelling experience would be a big advantage Experience of a regulated environment, with telecoms being the most desirable. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential; Good inter-personal skills to be able to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders; A high level of motivation and personal initiative is required; and Ability to draft documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear and concise manner.
