Our client is a government agency with Dublin City Centre office. Their busy finance department provides a range of financial and transaction support services and currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Accounts Payable Executive to join their team. This is a 2 year fixed term contract that will have the following responsibilities: •Review the invoices processed by the Accounts Payable administrators and the generation of payment runs in support of all business units •Co-ordinate queries from suppliers and business units ensuring efficient response times from the team •Maintain relationships with partners in each of the different business units •Set up of new suppliers and maintenance of Tax Clearance Certification process •Assist with key reconciliations and reporting including the production of aged creditor and debtor reports and prompt payment interest reporting •Manage and assist with internal and external audit queries •Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with the co-ordination of team tasks and policy updates •Input of general ledger transactions together with regular reconciliation of related accounts •Journal entry •Input to key projects relating to accounts payable / receivable and staff expenses from planning to implementation where required •Assist with staff expense and staff travel processing •Other adhoc duties as required This is a super role that will offer variety and responsibility to the successful candidate. Applicants will meet the following requirements: •A proven track record in a senior position in an Accounts Payable team is essential •Experience with Professional Services Withholding Tax and VAT accounting would be an advantage; •At least 1 years' experience in using general ledger systems would be an advantage •Experience using any of the named systems would be an advantage: SUN, Integra and SoftCo •Possess the ability to motivate and inspire others •Willingness to work as part of a team and assist others when needed to get the job done. •Must be adaptable and comfortable working within an environment of continuous improvement •The successful candidate should be able to hit the ground running and demonstrate flexibility by taking on ad-hoc responsibilities as required To be considered for this role, please send an up to date version of your cv for immediate review to Laura Craughwell at Lex Consultancy vis the enclosed link.
