This role is suitable for an AAT Studier or Graduate who has practical experience in accounts, and is looking for the next step in their career.

A well established business, with a reputation for staff retention, are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team.

You will report into the Management Accountant, responsible for assisting with monthly accounts preparation and reporting.

Description

As an Assistant Accountant, you will report into the Management Accountant, responsible for assisting with the efficient production of monthly accounts and accompanying analysis.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: bank reconciliations; journal preparation including accruals and prepayments; maintain fixed asset registers; analysis of variance to budget; balance sheet reconciliations.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

- Be studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA - or have equivalent experience - Essential

- Have knowledge of working in a fast paced finance role - Essential

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Essential

- Have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel - Essential
