A new opportunity has arisen to lead our Quality Audit and Compliance throughout the business.

The role of Head of Quality Audit & Compliance will be to take lead responsibility for the collection, analysis and interpretation of all audit and quality assurance management information and its publication/dissemination to relevant audiences.

The Head of Quality Audit & Compliance is responsible for ensuring that high standards are met across the organisation and that the company is adhering to CQC / CI regulations, other legislative and statutory requirements, and internal standards, through robust quality auditing and reporting on all quality assurance information gathered; communicating key messages and presenting data to different audiences, making recommendations about improvements, and supporting individuals, teams and the company to achieve better quality outcomes.

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid quality, audit and compliance experience and a flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to lead our team.

The role covers the UK and will include travel for monthly / quarterly meetings with Business Director, Operations Team and Branch Manager

Role Responsibility

The main duties of the role will include
  • Completion of monthly analysis of incidents and complaints, highlighting trends and risks, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Completing detailed themed audits and data analysis to better understand client need, risk and opportunity areas for improvement, and client outcomes, in the context of the wider sector and external benchmark data.
  • Completion of the company-wide monthly quality assurance audit, reviewing representative samples against internal and external standards
  • Preparation of client and company outcome data for external publication
  • Completion of KLOE audits with all care managers at least once a year
  • Completing quality audits and 'mock inspection's for key departments across the business to ensure an ongoing focus on compliance and continuous improvement
  • Completion of the monthly QA Board report, detailing current serious incidents and complaints and serious concerns, and highlighting business risk.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for:

Essential:
  • Working experience of analysing and presenting data to different audiences and making recommendations for improvements
  • Previous experience of working in a regulated sector


Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a quality & compliance role
  • Experience in the health and / or social care sector


SKILLS REQUIRED:

Essential
  • IT literate with a sound grasp of Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Able to analyse large data sets to identify themes, risks and make recommendations for improvements
  • Able to provide detailed quality reviews of performance of individuals and teams against internal and external quality standards, providing constructive feedback for improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to present and explain findings and ideas to different audiences and in different formats
  • To act as an expert adviser and lead on improvement activity, supporting operational managers in identifying and learning from areas of good practice and offering targeted support where practice requires improvement
  • Able to demonstrate good knowledge of CQC, Health and Social Care Act, DOLS, Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legislation and sector best practice
  • Able to develop and implement quality standards & measures
  • Auditing skills
  • Problem identifying, analysing, and reporting
  • Planning & implementing strategies based on the result of audits
  • Gathering information from relevant parties to ensure the service remains up to the highest standard
