Your field of responsibility

Join us as a Vice President in Group Finance. Your responsibilities include production of financial statement as per USGAAP, IFRS and Swiss GAAP for Investment Banking entity, monthly presentation on financial summary and control framework, lead new product approval process and ensure correct accounting treatment and strategic system architecture to support the same, ensure timely and correct ledger closing on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. You initiate continuous improvement of system architecture, cementing strong relationship with various partners including Group reporting & consolidation team, Product control, Regulatory reporting team, Liquidity team, Finance Change team and capital reporting team to discuss issues, guiding solutions and improve upon regular key responsibilities. You liaise with various IT teams to update system for continuous improvement of system architecture, understand front-to-back trade flow (life cycle events) and its subsequent system and accounting implications. You co-ordination with various business partners to look across accounting requirements to ensure compliance, provide subject matter expertise (SME) to Line FA and collaborate with other groups. You manage relationships with internal auditors, statutory auditors and exercise Sox controls. You review business continuity plan, process documentation, monthly MIS to senior management. You review workflows to minimize risks and improve overall quality. You initiate changes in various projects of convergence (alignment of accounting rules between trade repository and ledger balances) of Investment banking products. You lead and motivate a team of qualified Accountants. You manage staff planning including attrition.

Your skills and experience 

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 10-12 years’ experience in a global or regional financial institution, e.g. Operations, Finance, Product Control, Audit and Risk Management.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles; accounting degree or qualification is must.
  • Experience in handling senior management report production processes; creating and delivering presentations directly to senior management.
  • Hardworking, result oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • These responsibilities require a good understanding of accounting, products and trade flows between different departments within the bank (Front Office, Operations Financial Accounting etc.).
