Job description 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, articulate, and hardworking bookkeeping executive.

  

This role sits within our Business Services team providing an effective and efficient delivery of bookkeeping services to clients. 

Ideal candidates will have Sage 50, Sage Accounting, Xero and Office 365 software experience. We require the successful candidate to be able to slot into the Business Services team and have a core understanding of these software platforms. You will be required to work as part of a team and will take responsibility for meeting weekly/monthly/quarterly deadlines for bookkeeping clients. 

Key bookkeeping responsibilities include: 

·         Reconciling client bank accounts 

·         Reconciling cash / card control accounts 

·         Maintaining purchase ledgers 

·         Maintaining sales ledgers 

·         Reconciling VAT returns including submission to HMRC 

·         Reconciling PAYE / Payroll control accounts 

·         Preparing and processing month end journals  

·         Liaising with other departments over preparation of periodic and year end accounts 

The job is a full-time permanent position with working hours covering Monday to Friday from 9 to 5, with one hour’s lunch. We may however consider applicants wishing a part-time position, providing they meet the requirements of the role as determined by the recruiting manager.  

The successful candidate with be rewarded with a commensurate and competitive salary, workplace pension package, membership of the firms’ DIS scheme and four weeks holidays per annum (plus statutory days). Currently we are set up with full “remote working” due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However, as we are based out of a City Centre office, the work pattern would be reviewed based on business needs as we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic.
