The role will be responsible for production of management accounts and month end activity. The hiring manager is keen to find top talent and is able to mould a job spec around the right person based on where they can add value and what they would like exposure to.

Description
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Preparation of annual financial statements.
- Preparation and management of balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts and capital expenditure reports.
- Preparation of the annual budget.
- Responsible for CIS, VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors.
- Manage the Accounts Team, account payable and invoicing, across the businesses.
- Supporting Heads of Functions with departmental costings.
- Preparation & review of Finance policies & procedures.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of group wide controls and processes.
- Assisting in adhoc reports and project work as required
Profile
This will suit a candidate who is currently a Finance Manager or Finance Accountant looking to progress within a growing construction business with the following competencies:
- Qualified or part qualifies accountant (ACA, ACCA & CIMA)
- Experience in the construction, engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent IT/financial systems experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent planning and organising skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales.
- Resilience and be capable of working under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, business acumen.
- Teamwork and collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholder
