The role will be responsible for production of management accounts and month end activity. The hiring manager is keen to find top talent and is able to mould a job spec around the right person based on where they can add value and what they would like exposure to.

Description

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Preparation and management of balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts and capital expenditure reports.
  • Preparation of the annual budget.
  • Responsible for CIS, VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors.
  • Manage the Accounts Team, account payable and invoicing, across the businesses.
  • Supporting Heads of Functions with departmental costings.
  • Preparation & review of Finance policies & procedures.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of group wide controls and processes.
  • Assisting in adhoc reports and project work as required

Profile

This will suit a candidate who is currently a Finance Manager or Finance Accountant looking to progress within a growing construction business with the following competencies:

  • Qualified or part qualifies accountant (ACA, ACCA & CIMA)
  • Experience in the construction, engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent IT/financial systems experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales.
  • Resilience and be capable of working under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, business acumen.
  • Teamwork and collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholder
