GSK is in the midst of an exciting period of investment and growth in its new European financial centre, located in Poznan and Warsaw, with almost 300 new employees joining to date.

The European financial centre is responsible for providing a wide range of business services to the European region, as part of a wider network of regional hubs around the globe. These centres of expertise work together as a One Finance team to support GSK’s global operating model by delivering best in class services, sharing best practice and knowledge and working closely with other markets and colleagues, supported by our global headquarters in London.

We are currently searching for talented, motivated and adaptable individuals to join our growing Global Tax team based in the European financial centre, supporting a wide range of activities for the European region.

We are looking for a EMEA Tax Manager for based in the Poznań office, being responsible for providing direct tax advice and transfer pricing technical support across EMEA.  It will also involve the management of specific projects will also be required including tax audits, M&A, integration and company restructurings.  

How you will contribute to our success:

  • You will be advising the business on all aspects of tax and transfer pricing matters
  • You will manage the tax aspect of financing and cash repatriation activities across the region
  • You will ensure that the global transfer pricing policies are implemented locally so that each LOC is earning a profit commensurate with its functions assets and risks, hence managing the group’s Transfer Pricing risk
  • You will also ensure that tax exposures are identified and minimized/managed for both acquisitions and ongoing business activity
  • You will be monitoring and working with the TP team to defend transfer pricing policies, this will involve the drafting of correspondence with the relevant local tax authorities
  • You will lead on tax audits in the region, working with local third party advisors to manage the group’s tax risk and effective tax rate appropriately 
  • You will work with the in-market FDs to manage local tax risk and ensure appropriate implementation of the global tax strategy

Why you?

What skills and expertise you will bring to the role:

BASIC:

  • Degree in finance/taxation/business area and finance qualification (i.e. ACCA)
  • At least 6 years experience in international tax regulations
  • Fluency in English (C1)
  • Excellent communication skills – making complexity simple
  • Knowledge of major regimes in Europe, Middle East and Africa
