Permanent Role
Join this innovative social business as Management Accountant – Assets & Services and ensure the efficiency of monthly key processes while also supporting the finance business partners.
Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives in Surrey and Sussex. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.
As Management Accountant – Assets & Services, you’ll lead on the production of the transactional analysis, management accounts, capital, cashflow reporting and budget setting for the Assets and Services functions of the business. With an influential role to play in producing accurate and timely financial information that supports reporting, budget monitoring and decision making across the organisation, you’ll also ensure processes are efficient and effective, and that the finance function has continuous improvement embedded in its ‘business as usual’ operations.
Newly/part qualified CCAB – or with equivalent experience – you should have a good understanding of the preparation of management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, etc., gained in a month-end-focused management or financial accountant’s role. Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are essential, with a sound grasp of computerised accounting systems and databases. Experience of SUN and iPOS would be an added advantage, as would previous exposure within the Housing sector.
This role calls for the ability to communicate financial data effectively to non-finance staff, as well as a flair for questioning and spotting irregularities, plus the innovative spirit to propose and implement improvements to processes. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.
We support and trust our staff to work as a team and be their best. We offer good salaries and benefits, a great pension scheme, paid holiday and sickness benefit, plus support for further training to develop your skills and career.
