How you will impact WestRock:
- Assist with the accurate and timely preparation & submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information (e.g. P&L’s, Balance Sheets, FRP, Cash Flow) that meets the needs of management, the company, government and statutory bodies
- Support the timely and accurate submission of monthly and quarterly forecast data
- Ensuring financial consistency in accordance with SOX, Corporate Guidelines and support best practice
- Providing local management with information and analysis in order to assist them with improved decision-making
- Guaranteeing statutory compliance surrounding VAT, EC sales, Intrastat and payroll
- Oversee and manage internal and external customers on the transactional service they provide to the business including AP, AR, Interco and bank postings
- Partnering with MPS’ centralised collection team to assist them with the on-time collection of company’s debt and queries resolution
- Engaging with the monitoring, recording and reporting of capital spend against capital projects
- Contributing, as a team member, to internal and external audit requests within the published timescale for these audits
- Develop and manage the Finance Assistant and foster a motivated, knowledgeable and professional team member that is capable of providing a good financial service to the business units
- Undertake any ad-hoc reporting needs of the division when needed
What you need to succeed:
- Part Qualified – Ideally ACCA (Skills or Strategic level) or CIMA (Management or Strategic level)
- At least 3 years’ experience
- Several years’ experience in a manufacturing/commercial environment; ideally manufacturing with multiple customers, multiple currencies and international trade
- Thorough understanding of internal controls and their implementation
- Ability to motivate and develop staff
- Experience of communicating at all levels
- Highly computer literate with advanced Excel modelling and presentation skills
- High level of Numerical/Verbal reasoning skills
