Leading a team of over 80 staff, with responsibility for management of the receivables functions, including credit and collections, query handling, and front line customer accounting.

Description

The opportunity is a Head of Accounting, based at our clients UK head office, just west of Heathrow Airport. This senior leadership role will be responsible for management of the Receivables functions, including Credit and Collections, Query Handling, Front Line Customer Accounting and Receivables Quality departments. The incumbent will drive profitability while reducing bad debt expense, and improving DSO and aged accounts receivables, particularly AR 60+. With a keen focus on improving both employee engagement and customer experience, the successful candidate will be a skilled, hands-on finance leader, who maintains frequent and ongoing interaction with key internal stakeholders at varying levels, as well as ensuring that the company's credit policies are observed. This individual will have overall responsibility for establishing and continuously improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided to stakeholders. The position is responsible for a highly motivated and empowered team of over 80 professionals dedicated to ensuring the companies adherence to legal requirements and the maintenance of a secure financial network for their customers, as well as managing external teams responsible for process and end of debt activities. The Head of Accounting position reports to the UK CFO.

The successful candidate will be in a senior leadership role, managing a large number of staff in a credit, and receivables environment. You must have a modern management style, with demonstrable evidence of innovating processes, and delivering improvements to your previous employers.

Job Offer

A salary of c£80,000 plus a bonus of 30%, a car allowance of £8,000, pension, life cover, private health care, health screening, 28 days holidays and parking.
