Page Personnel are working in partnership with a large reputable property and construction business based near Chester. Due to internal promotion an opportunity for a Trainee Accountant has become available to join their management accounts team, offering an excellent foot in the door in a growing, supportive stable business.

Client Details

Our client pride themselves on their staff recognition and clear progression structure. An opportunity has become available within their accountancy team, supporting with the production of management accounts. You will produce management accounts for a large subsidiary business providing excellent commercial exposure and development opportunities.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Trainee Accountant include:

  • Assisting in the production of management accounts for large subsidiary business
  • Overseeing P&L's
  • Providing financial support across company sites and departments
  • Producing reconciliations for assigned business site
  • Updating cashflow forecasts
  • Investigating discrepancies from company reconciliations
  • Producing VAT returns
  • Formulating professional business relationships with department heads
  • Adhoc tasks as required by the finance manager

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 1 years experience within a fast-paced accountancy environment
  • Exposure to month end support
  • Management accounts experience
  • Educated to degree level
  • Early level CIMA/ACCA studier - Highly desirable
  • Confident with excellent communication levels
  • Desire to progress within a finance environment
  • Self motivated to work independently
