Audit and Accounts Senior

An opportunity within a leading and highly regarded accountancy practice, based in Taunton has arisen for either a recently qualified ACA, ACCA, or part/finalist level practice professional to join this team as an Audit and Accounts Senior / Supervisor, in a role offering clear progression and development potential as a key addition to growing, successful team.

The firm's clients are wide ranging in sector, turnover and industry range, from entrepreneurial start-ups, sole traders, partnerships and significant proportion of OMBs and SMEs, ranging from into the £millions in turnover, to considerably larger corporate clients, groups and wider clients.

Description

Joining as Audit and Accounts Senior / Supervisor there will be the potential for a mixed role across both audit and wider accounts with the potential to mould the client base and split of work considerably dependent on the experience, background and motivations of the right professional. There is likely to be at least a 50% involvement within audit delivery, with the potential to be more heavily weighted on audit, if the preferences and interests of the right candidate warrant this. Or a 50/50 mix across audit and accounts and wider all around accountancy practice service provision to varied industry limited companies and smaller clients under the audit threshold in turnover, will work equally well. On the audit side there is the potential for very limited need to travel and stay away, with the client base workable to minimise this to a very small amount indeed which is a bonus and you will work on wide ranging clients from voluntary audits, through to clients just over the audit threshold in turnover, to large groups in excess of £50million in turnover, subsidiaries of overseas parent companies, not for profit and charity clients, again with the potential to mould and weight the client base to specific areas of interest. You will be joining a growing, highly successful audit/accounts team with circa twenty five people within the group across wide ranging levels of experience, background and areas of technical interest. You will carve a career within this successful, growing firm with the requirement having come about as a direct result of ongoing organic, new client growth and you will benefit from a very clear, appraisal and progression development path. You will have a hands on role, leading and acting as a senior / supervisor on client site with increasing responsibility and progression on offer.

Profile

Given the growth and development within this firm the partners are looking to consider individuals across a range of experience here to fit and work within this growing team, therefore individuals from both part qualified/finalist level ACA/ACCA with at least 2 - 3 years or more experience across either audit entirely, or mixed audit/accounts background can work well to fit within this team (might suit an exam exit policy candidate from larger tier firm background for instance). Equally, a recently qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Senior or mixed Audit/Accounts Senior with anything up to 1 year or more post qualified experience looking to join a highly reputable and leading firm of chartered accountants, progressing in their career post qualification will work very well within the team and role, with the partners equally keen to look at professionals at this level of experience and background.

Circa £32,000 - £38,000 dependent on the level of experience and background of the right professional
