Accountant

Job summary:

Perform general ledger recording specific in inventory, trade AP of CG; support closing of accounts and financial reports preparation, including the implementation of processes and internal controls to ensure governance over the accounting function

General responsibilities:

Record, maintain inventory accuracy, timely

Reconcile monthly inventory detail records to the general ledger to identify discrepancies. Analyze and resolve any discrepancies as they occur

Prepare and maintain inventory control processes

Coordinate timing cutoffs at month end

Assist with coordination of physical inventory counts

Record and reconcile results of physical inventories counts.

Prepare reconciliations and journal entries and review exception reporting to ensure the accurate and timely closing of the inventory accounts

Perform month-end journal entries and close activities

Participate in special projects as required

Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Leadership responsibilities:

Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of General Ledger Accounting and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning

Functional skills and knowledge:

Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the business and industry

Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices

Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage

Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken

Education:

Knowledge in Accounting/Finance at college level or bachelor

Work experience:

Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role
