Accountant

Responsibilities & deliverables :-

Compliance:

• Ensuring that processing of financial transactions meets Group & External standards and timescales.

Job relationships :

• The Accountant will work closely with Finance Manager, Shared Accounting Service and Site Management team to enforce effective financial process. He/she will work with the members in the Finance team based in Johor Baru and Singapore.

Job responsibilities :

Month End/ Quarterly/ Year End Processing

• Perform monthly and quarterly closing, accrual accounting
• Process & Post all month end journals
• Prepare management reports, analysis reports and supporting schedules for period end closing
• Annual Fixed Assets count (CLS + Consigned)
• Support External/Internal Audit activity
• Daily Revenue & Inventory reporting and updating operations cost improvement files
• Monthly/Quarterly functional spend allocation

Stock Takes

• Annual Physical Inventory count
• Annual Inventory Adjustments
• Cycle Count Adjustments

Others

• Supporting on Financial process to other operational department
• Provide Transactional Details to Operations (Scrap & Freight GL)
• Manufacturing Report, Statistics filing & WHT Submission
• Financial Trx Approval
• Scrap, SAP PR, NRE & Customer Recovery

General

• Provide adhoc reporting as required
• Act cross-functionally and use financial acumen to challenge other areas
• Keep fully aware of new developments in the financial/accountancy field
• Customer accounts maintenance , Variance analysis & Customer P&L Forecasting

Required Professional/ educational qualifications and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an equivalent role and preferably experienced from an Audit firm
• Accounting qualification(ACCA/CIMA/Bachelor’s Degree)
• English Proficiency
• Proficiency in SAP financial system /working knowledge of installed software within an integrated ERP environment is preferable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office components
• Communication skill across all levels of the workforce
