The Festicket Group family is a truly international team with 100+ people from over 20 different countries, all passionate about changing the face of live event experiences. Our head office is in Camden, London with a remote workforce distributed across Leeds, Berlin, Amsterdam, Porto, Nantes, Denver and Australia.

Since 2012, we have provided a seamless service to discover and book tickets and travel packages for music festivals worldwide. The platform offers an end-to-end experience for music travellers, an efficient two-sided marketplace for 1,500+ music festivals across 40 different countries, and a network of 5,000 suppliers for accommodation & travel packages. In eight short years, we have become Europe's largest music festival platform.

We're now post Series-D funded, and backed by some of Europe's largest VC funds.

THE ROLE
There is nothing more important to Festicket's ongoing success and profitability than our client's satisfaction. Making sure we pay our partners and promoters on time is a huge part of this; non-payment is the biggest factor contributing to why clients leave us. Whether representing one festival or multiple, our drive towards profitability has meant more proactivity in support of fewer 'primary' promoters and partners. Therefore this role goes above processing payments. There are opportunities to partner with clients and deliver proactive solutions such as accurate and detailed reporting, issue identification and efficient proactive resolution, and relationship building through concise and clear communication.

In the Accounts Payable role we split workload by region - Central (DACH and Italy), France, Brit (UK and Asia-Pac), North US, Iberia, Benelux. You would be responsible for one or more of these regions, liaising internally with account managers and externally with promoters, providing invoice payment, reporting, and solving finance-related issues. We have somewhere between 2000-3000 promoters, and each region will have somewhere between 300-500.

You will also provide some additional support to other areas of the finance team as necessary, allowing you a broader understanding of the overall financial function of a highly transactional and scaling b2b2c tech marketplace.

Duties & responsibilities in the position:
  • Check and reconcile supplier invoices by verifying transaction information
  • Computing charges and refunds, and reconciling bank receipts and deposits
  • Maintain and record supplier's information data
  • Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing self-billing invoices
  • Resolve account discrepancies and supplier's enquiries by investigating documentation
  • Suggest opportunities to automate processes
  • Maintain spreadsheets, purchases ledgers, and journals

Requirements

This role will suit somebody either already experienced in accounts receivable and payable, or someone very keen to take their first steps in the role. Someone part-qualified in an accountancy qualification via further education will be supported with costs and time dedicated towards becoming fully qualified

Behaviours we expect you to demonstrate in this role:
  • Proactivity - looking to spot and communicate problems to promoters and Account Managers rather than waiting for them to come to us
  • Keeping calm under pressure - Commercial relationships are governed by payment terms and deadlines, so you must be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively
  • Dependability - You will be managing the competing objectives of internal and external stakeholders, and should be pragmatic in both your communication and approach to reach the swiftest and most all-encompassing solutions

Additional characteristics we expect our entire team to demonstrate:
  • Adaptability and flexibility in the ever-changing world of a scale-up dealing with the challenges of a global pandemic that has hit the live music industry harder than most other sectors
  • Intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to ask questions until you understand
  • Positivity and a can-do mindset when faced with new opportunities
  • Self-motivation and a sense of pride in achieving stretch goals on your own merit
  • Comfort receiving and providing constructive criticism, as well as 'managing upwards'

  • 25 days holiday per annum
