Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner - AASCReporting to: Finance Director - Justice & ImmigrationBase location: UK FlexibleBand: 1.4Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + 15%- 30% Bonus, Car Allowance and moreWith over 180 contracts, 400 sites and 30,000 people in the UK, Serco relies on the talents of its Finance team to ensure we remain profitable, efficient and competitive. And as the new Senior Finance Business Partner for our AASC contract you'll transform financial and non-financial information into insight which influences decision making to improve the financial performance of Serco's complex services.Acting as a key member of the Contract Leadership team, and through the line management of your team of Finance Business Partners, you'll first gain a thorough understanding of the contract, the customer and the financial drivers that sit behind the relationship. You'll then act as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact; helping to drive commercial and financial success. This will involve responsibilities such as:Ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance, business financial plans and forecasts that are produced by our Centre of ExcellenceProviding contract / service pricing, cash and margin optimisation recommendations - ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and returnDeveloping customer relationships to successfully contribute to commercial and financial negotiations Supporting the portfolio strategy through market, competitor and portfolio analysisProvide guidance on contract and service performance including ROI, scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarkingDevelop, communicate, and defend the accounting treatment of advanced accounting papers to leadership and auditorsYou won't be doing this on your own however. Along with a supportive team that is driven by our company values of Trust, Pride, Innovation and Care, we'll also provide support for finance training and development when needed. What you need to do the roleFirst and foremost, you must hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA along with demonstrable post qualification experience and knowledge of IFRS16 and lease accounting experience. In particular you must have demonstrable commercial experience in balancing contract risk and return, driving and responding to change, reinforcing compliance, optimising financial outcomes, optimising commercial customer relationships and identifying and mitigating financial and commercial risk.In this role you'll be working, and at times negotiating, with a range of key stakeholders in a complex environment. So as well as experience of building and maintaining relationships, you'll need to have the diligence, integrity, communication skills, and gravitas you'll need to influence these people. You also need to have experience of having worked and of building trust within a virtual team environment. About Serco
