What You Need To Know

As a IT Business Analyst, you'll work to develop solutions for core business processes/projects inside the organization by following standard Agile methodology. You must understand the needs of different business areas and be able to articulate these to various groups. You will be asked to wear many hats and be the front-line warrior leading all project development. We are looking for a Do-It-All Rockstar who is great at building relationships, someone who will go the extra mile, and who is willing to go to battle..even if it is a nerf battle with your team.
  • Meet with various business partners to understand their needs and challenges; this includes working closely with executive leadership as well
  • You will write clear and concise business requirements
  • Analyze and document data transformations and logic that need to be built to support the exchange of information, both internal and external
  • You will lead Agile based processes and practices
  • Drive projects from fruition to Go Live
  • Assist with and coordinate UAT testing when neededYou will be the voice of the business to the development team.
  • You will answer their questions and provide clarification on requirements. If you do not know the answer, you will find out
  • Lead process improvement with your business partners and identify bottlenecks
  • Provide technical support/help troubleshoot production issues

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 3 years of experience working business analyst, preferably with finance/mortgage knowledge
  • Strong core Business Analysis skills in the areas of elicitation, requirements analysis, business process improvement, requirements modeling, gap analysis, functional decomposition and design, data modeling, rapid prototyping, and other techniques (Agile experience preferable)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Experience with JIRA or any other project management tool (bonus if you know JIRA!)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to change direction seamlessly and influence others to work through ambiguity with minimal impact on project results
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate, facilitate and advocate
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems, enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, and is willing to experiment and try anything to find solutions
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical solutions to business partners
  • Ability to effectively manage and facilitate meetings
  • Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
  • Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills
