Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Audit Specialist, you are responsible for planning and execution of IT-related audits with respect to IT-applications and IT-infrastructure with special focus on the European/German standards of the banking industry based on international audit standards.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of (IT-) processes and evaluation with regard to efficiency, effectiveness and inherent risks
- Preparation of audit reports and presentation of the audit results to the parties/teams reviewed
- Continuous development of regulatory and banking skills
- Close cooperation with the audit team in Germany
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Overall 7-10 years' experience in the banking business
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the audit function of an international bank
- In depth knowledge of set up and management of IT systems for banks (IT-applications and IT infrastructure)
- Expert knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements for banking industry in Germany and Europe (e.g. KWG, MaRisk, BAIT, EBA Guidelines)
- Proven communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in teamwork and to deal with conflicts and ability to work under high time pressure
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Fluent in spoken and written English and German
- Experience in control, risk focused and attention to detail
- Proven client/business focused communication skills
- Ability to liaise with Technology and communicate system requirements
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
