Finance Manager

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to get on the ground floor of a growing company with the ability to shape and direct its future.

Reporting to the CEO as part of the senior leadership team, this position is responsible for directing, planning, and managing the overall accounting and administration functions of this growing business.

The Role:

• Provide accurate and timely financial and management reports.
• Perform day-to-day accounting functions such as payroll, AP/AR, and invoicing.
• Complete bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow.
• Develop budget and forecasting models and present them to senior management.
• Implement accounting processes and procedures.
• Provide analytical and advisory support to management on key strategic business decisions.
• Analyze all transactions in the general ledger and identify and correct errors.
• Develop and oversee Human Resources processes and functions.
• Manage outside consultants and suppliers.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Professional accounting designation (i.e. CA, CMA, or CGA) preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent Excel knowledge and skills.
• 5+ years of senior financial management experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office user.
• Entrepreneurial attitude and approach to finances.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in QuickBooks.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience in the Agriculture industry a benefit.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience.
