What this challenge is about
The intern reports primarily to the Manager, Accounting Operations, Treasury, and also works with various treasury stakeholders throughout the internship. Main responsibilities include the following :
- Participate in the accounting of debt and financial derivative items;
- Help create and implement a treasury dashboard using Power BI:
- Create reports to closely monitor corporate debt positions;
- Structure and update databases for analyzing debt portfolios;
- Assist with data modelling (e.g., MDS);
- Centralize the information on recommendations/approvals in Microsoft Flow for each external and intercompany debt ticket;
- In a trace file, collect certain specific information from loan contracts;
- Help put in place an authorization process for transactions (Adobe Sign);
- Go through documented procedures, updating them as needed.
What we're looking for
- Enrolment in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree in administration or equivalent;
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate/advanced skills required);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is a significant asset;
- Grasp of financial concepts and knowledge of real estate financing, an asset.
