About Our Client
Our client is a FMCG business based in Townsville. As a result of their significant growth and expansion they are currently recruiting a Technical and Vendor Assurance Officer to join their incredible team.

About the Role
Ideally have come from a food manufacturing background include quality system management, audits; as well as have knowledge of GMP, HACCP, certification process and audits. You will be a person strong on motivational skills, team building and have a proactive approach.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years Food manufacturing and Quality Assurance systems
  • Sound knowledge in Microsoft office 2010
  • Highly developed problem solving skills
  • High level communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of administration procedures
  • Strong knowledge of statutory body performance requirement such as FSANZ
Qualifications
  • Graduate or Certificate IV or above in Food Processing or food Technology or equivalent
  • HACCP certificate holder
  • FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 awareness

Major functions of this position (however not restricted)
  • Experience in raw material assessment, Supplier audits and assessment, Technical documents follow-up, record keeping and updating, trend analysis, Food fraud and vulnerability assessments.
  • Assist in control, Maintain, Monitor QMS (including kosher, halal, organic & Food Safety) in accordance with existing and future standards, requirements and company targets warranted.
  • Test and approve/reject raw materials including organoleptic testing, micro testing, sending product samples for third party testing, then scan and file.
  • New raw material internal picture specification
  • Product received out of date advise QA Manager, QA Officer or NCR and purchasing
  • Issue and follow up NCRs with suppliers, document, trend and advise corrective actions.
  • Check mix prep and packer prep to ensure product is acceptable and within date.
  • Shelf-life extension for raw materials, email suppliers, do internal testing, issue new BBD, record and document.
  • Data capturing of internal and external waste and Keep waste register for facility up to date, follow and trend.
  • Conduct internal audits with QA Manager.
  • Maintain all raw material documentation in accordance with our QMS
  • Follow food standards and regulations.
  • Assist to train and assess employees.
  • Assist in writing work instructions within your role.
  • Ensure all team members follow food safety, OHS and QA requirements
  • Participate in other QA tasks as directed.
