The Role:

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the friendly team in the Boston office. Working within a professional environment, you will be working alongside an experienced team and be given exposure to all elements of VAT and bookkeeping. Prior experience is necessary for this role, consideration would be given to candidates who wish to move to the next level of training, including comprehensive on the job training along with study support.

The role will involve providing VAT and bookkeeping services to various clients businesses both in the office and when applicable on-site at clients premises. The role would suit someone who is AAT qualified or who has experience within the bookkeeping sector.

Role Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping

Preparation and submission of VAT returns, including Making Tax digital compliance

Bank reconciliations

Dealing with purchase and sales ledgers

Day-to-day use of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks

Liaising with clients by telephone and email

Attending client meetings, when necessary, and on-site client visits

Dealing with VAT queries from both clients and the team

Essential Skills & Requirements

Good I.T. skills

Good organisational skills

Excellent numeracy and communication skills

Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines

Reliable

Adaptable

Attention to detail

AAT qualified or previous experience within bookkeeping
