Four Squared Recruitment is supporting a fantastic business in Leicester with the recruitment of a Trainee Investment Manager it is a permanent role based in the office that comes with excellent benefits & training.

Key Responsibilities include (while not being limited to) the following:
  • Understanding and keeping up-to-date with global investment markets
  • Understanding and keeping up-to-date with the different contracts and investment funds available
  • Understanding and maintaining awareness of the current and ongoing Investment Strategy of the Team, including the contracts and investment funds recommended to buy, sell or hold
  • Acting in a Para-planner role, by using the information gathered from the Client by the Partner/Consultant and making appropriate investment recommendations
  • Overseeing and processing the new business process. This may include placing investment deals and transactions personally or delegating this duty to an Investment Administrator
  • Communicating with clients, both verbally and in writing, as well as fellow professionals, e.g., accountants and solicitors
  • Preparing valuation statements from computer records and issuing to clients, together with recommendations for change, where appropriate
  • Support role to Partners/Consultants, preparing statements and information for client meetings. Again, certain duties may be delegated
  • Handle client queries
  • Maintain paper and computer records of all activities undertaken
  • Archive paper records when required
  • Assist the adviser with the preparation of reports both prior and post meetings

The ideal person will have;
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Working towards specialist investment qualification for discretionary management, e.g., CISI PCIAM (Private Client Investment Advice and Management)
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in Investments
  • Good, broad, knowledge of financial services in general
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, investment companies, accountants, and other professional connections via various methods - phone, letter, and face to face
  • IT/keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of markets; investment, equities, bonds, currencies
  • Knowledge of taxation
  • Knowledge of investment and other financial services legislation relevant to role
  • Knowledge of money laundering procedures and individual responsibilities in this area
