Financial Accountant (Fixed Term - Maternity Cover)

1FTE, Fixed Term until April 2022 (Maternity Cover) Kilmarnock Campus The Financial Accountant will support the Head of Financial Services in the preparation of statutory accounts and related returns for the College. The post-holder will be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budget analysis, forecasting and financial reporting. The post-holder will also support budget holders to monitor their spend and achieve their budget targets. You will be CCAB or CIMA qualified and have experience within a complex financial environment. Experience of monitoring risk and controls within a complex finance service function and evidence of developing innovative solutions to achieve organisational objectives are essential. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and the ability to analyse large volumes of data are also essential for the role.You will have a driving license or ability to travel, as required, across the region.
