Financial Accountant

This Peterborough based Manufacturing and Production business are looking for an experienced candidate to join them as their Financial Accountant. Within this role the Financial Accountant will be joining a developing team and will have oversight of the monthly accounts, producing detailed analysis and reports to help drive forward the business decisions.

The Financial Accountant will be working with an ambitious team and will have broad exposure across accounts with the chance to impact the success of the business.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Managing the month end reporting process including prepayments and accruals postings, payroll and other journals
• Preparing management accounts
• Processing supplier payment run, reporting and review
• Reviewing bank balances on a daily basis, working capital cash flow forecasting, working
• Assisting with compiling other ad hoc management and regulatory reports
• Preparing of quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with the annual audit of legal entity financial statements
• Completing bank reconciliations

Profile

The successful candidate for the Financial Accountant will be:

• Studying their ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by experience
• Previous experience within Manufacturing and Production environments would be advantageous
• Previous experience working closely with multiple stakeholders
• Strong systems experience and excellent Excel knowledge
