In order to satisfy the Central Bank of Ireland's materially enhanced substance requirement relating to CP 86, additional roles are required within SSGA Funds Management Limited ("FML") to perform oversight and monitoring of the mutual funds which that entity manages. A Designated Person (DP), who has to be based in Ireland per the regulation, is appointed by FML to oversee the Managerial Function of Capital & Financial Management. Given the size and scale of FML's operation, the CBI then expects that the DP will have support personnel reporting into them, assisting them with their oversight responsibilities. This role will act as said support, as well as supporting the wider GFM team.
