We are looking for an experienced project accountant to join our fast-growing team. Rovco is rapidly expanding cloud robotics business focused on the energy transition space. We believe in putting innovation to work, creating value with novel technology mainly for our existing clients in offshore renewable wind energy.

You will be alongside Rovco Managing Director and reporting to the CFO, the role is responsible for supporting Project Management to manage project finances and perform month end tasks. As a qualified accountant you will use your accounting knowledge to improve all forms of project reporting and assist finance leadership in continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare high quality monthly financial reporting in coordination with Project Manager and Finance Manager
  • Support Project Managers in day to day project finance management
  • Preparation of invoices to be sent along with any financial reporting, as required
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis of project spend for PM and report on key issues
  • In coordination with business partners and finance prepare robust and timely financial forecasting
  • Prepare weekly spend reports and cash flow analysis for discussion with the CFO and PM
  • Review and analyse changes to project budgets in line with company and client requirements, proactively identify risks and mitigations
  • Perform an advisory role to PM on budgets, FX rates and as per PM's requests
  • Join internal team to advise on bid tender discussions
  • Develop systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective management of project finances and reporting, including monitoring spend against projections
  • Ensure financial systems and processes are fit for purpose and findings from fiduciary verification lead to improved financial control

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Process mapping and implementation experience
  • Experience working on delivery projects in a business partnering/FP&A role
  • A commercial approach to budgetary management and supporting decision making with non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different ways of working
  • Strong influencing skills with the confidence to introduce new ways of working
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
